Rotary Club of Fort Worth South Community Grant Guidelines 2025-2026
Focus: Helping Children and Youth Who Struggle to Read
Recognizing that supplemental support is needed in our community for many children and youth to overcome reading barriers, The Rotary Club of Fort Worth South welcomes grant proposals from any community-based non-profit organization serving Tarrant County that provides reading intervention for school-age children (pre-K through high school). We are seeking projects or programs that help individual school-age children learn to read. Applicants must have 501(c)(3) status. Applicants may apply for a one-time grant of up to $4,000. The Rotary Club of Fort Worth South may choose to award all or any part of a grant request, depending on funds available and the decision of the Foundation Committee and the Board of Directors.
The Rotary Club of Fort Worth South will NOT fund:
- Projects or programs that do not provide reading intervention for school-age children
- Membership fees or ticket sales
- Church-related activities
- Deficit budget expenses or retroactive funding
- Capital debt reduction
- Political or controversial projects or programs.
Requests should include a letter describing the organization’s mission, the purpose for funding, the amount requested, those who would benefit, anticipated results from the program/project, and any other information deemed important to conveying your request. Please limit your written request to two pages (single-sided). Grant requests, along with a copy of your 501(c)(3) tax-exempt letter, most recent form 990, and a program or agency budget, should be emailed to THockerRotary@gmail.com in a PDF file (or multiple PDF files, if necessary) no later than Friday, December 12, 2025.

Additional information may be requested by the Rotary Club of Fort Worth South, including a face-to-face or site visit. Grant criteria and grant policy may be altered at any time without notice if deemed appropriate by a vote of the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club Fort Worth South. Grant recipients will be notified in January 2026 and invited to a club meeting to receive their grant.
